Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of WPSignal.io (“Service”) operated by WPSignal (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

WPSignal provides a realtime event relay service for WordPress sites. Publishers send HMAC-signed events to our server; the server pushes them to subscribed browser connections via WebSocket or Server-Sent Events.

3. Beta Status

The Service is currently in beta. Features may change, be removed, or become unavailable without notice. We make no uptime guarantees during the beta period.

4. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and site secrets.
  • You must not share credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@wpsignal.io if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Transmit unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or abusive content
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security controls
  • Conduct denial-of-service attacks or interfere with other users
  • Reverse-engineer or decompile the Service
  • Resell access to the Service without written permission

6. Rate Limits and Fair Use

The Service enforces per-site rate limits to ensure availability for all users. Accounts that consistently exceed acceptable usage patterns may be throttled or suspended.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Service, including software, documentation, and branding, are owned by WPSignal. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights. Your event data remains yours.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WPSIGNAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 IF YOU HAVE PAID NOTHING.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold WPSignal harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which WPSignal is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
